MBA E.D. Sam Himelstein, PhD, to Speak At Two Mindfulness Conferences in Massachusetts

MBA Executive Director Sam Himelstein will be speaking at two conferences in the months of March and April of 2013.

The Mindfulness in Education Network (MiEN) puts on an annual conference that gathers researchers, educators, and clinical practitioners together to share their work. Sam will be presenting the work of the MBA Project and sitting on a plenary panel at MiEN’s conference on March 16th, 2013. For more information on this conference, click here.

Sam will also be co-facilitating a daylong workshop at the University of Massachusetts’ Center for Mindfulness 11th annual “Investigating and Integrating Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare, and Society” conference on April 17th, 2013. This daylong workshop will be training-oriented and will focus on developing the basic skills and principles necessary in facilitating mindfulness-based interventions with high-risk adolescents.
