On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world came together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
As part of #GivingTuesday, the MBA Project invited our community to share words of encouragement with youth inside juvenile hall. We collected cards from our supporters that answered the question: “when you’re in a hard place, how do you free your mind?”
From students in Baltimore to supporters in New Zealand, people from all over the world took part in #GivingMindfulness. We received hundreds of thoughtful, handwritten cards, which we delivered to youth inside juvenile hall on December 20th, just in time for the holidays.
We are grateful for our growing community’s dedication to helping Bay Area youth feel more at peace. Thank you for #GivingMindfulness and for making the holiday season brighter for incarcerated youth.
