How We Work
At the core of our philosophy is building authentic relationships with the populations we work with. Our instructors are heavily trained to develop the personal qualities that foster authentic relationships with participants including, but not limited to:
- Authenticity
- Leadership
- Authentic Relationship Building
- Skillful Communication
- Development of Compassion and Empathy
- Formal Mindfulness Training and Practice
- Informal Mindfulness Training and Practice
Furthermore, our instructors receive tremendous training in the following areas that help foster and bring alive our curricula including but not limited to:
- Group Facilitation
- Working with Resistance
- Brain Science
- Evidence-Based Practices with At-Risk Populations
- Multicultural Awareness
By targeted training in the above and other issues, our instructors bring alive the MBA and other curricula for engaging participants authentically. Such training fosters “relational mindfulness,” which is the base of any curriculum when working with high-risk populations.
